Genuine Building Services Pty Ltd.

The business was started to supply a genuine approach to building (hence the name of the company) and to build trust with both clients and subcontractors.

The main reason for this was that previously Peter Ginns had worked as both a subcontract carpenter and foreman and realised that customer service and quality at a reasonable price was hard to come by, and saw the demand for a builder able to provide an open and honest relationship with their clients.

Peter Ginns has over 20 years experience in the residential building industry starting as an apprentice carpenter in Canberra, before moving to Sydney to work on bigger projects.

At Genuine Building Services we work hard to provide quality customer service and attention to detail in all the work that we do.

We specialise in finding solutions that enable clients to stay within their budget without compromising on the design.

We specialise in tight access sites which are prominent in the inner west and have innovative and cost effective solutions to work within these contraints.

Genuine Building Services are based in the Inner West and as such we do most of our work in the Inner West and Eastern Suburbs, but also work in the lower to mid North Shore.

In order to run a business effectively Peter Ginns also found that subcontractors had to be treated as valuable assets to the business. Genuine Building Services use the same core tradesmen and Peter Ginns ensures a good relationship by not chasing prices and ensuring that all invoices are paid within 7-14 days.

In doing so Peter Ginns receives a quality, timely service often at a better price. Peter Ginns built his company around the relationship he has with clients and architects which has led to some great projects. He can also boast a 95% conversion rate on jobs that he quotes because the majority of his jobs are referrals and he takes the time to work with potential clients to provide them with the building work they require whilst staying within budget.

When required he does this by providing alternative building options at the quoting stage, so that clients can keep within budget while still retaining the integrity of the design.

Recently Peter Ginns has gone back to his previous jobs to take photographs in order to update the company website and all of Genuine Building Services clients were enthusiastic to offer their houses and provide support to Genuine Building Services.

Genuine Building Services has achieved a lot in since establishment and has the dedication and determination to continue along this path and continue to offer a quality, genuine service to its clients going forward. Genuine Building Services has many satisfied customers, and their referrals provide the majority of our work.
